Dear Families, |

Welcome to my classroom and your child’s fifth grade year. I am so excited to be teaching your child. It is my goal that your child’s fifth grade experience will be filled with personal growth as a thinker and learner. There are so many fun things to do and learn in the fifth grade. I am looking forward to this adventure!

Our fifth grade is departmentalized. I will be your child’s language arts teacher. In language arts, children strengthen basic reading and writing skills and develop a love of literature. The major language arts strands for our fifth grade students are reading, writing, and spelling. Please contact me with your questions in those subject areas.
