Quality education begins with a quality staff. We are proud of the energy, creativity, and caring displayed by our staff. The district employs over 500 people including administrators, teachers, clerical staff, food service, maintenance/custodians, and paraprofessionals. Hiring procedures and annual evaluations maintain quality standards for personnel selection and continuing employment.

Our district encourages staff professional growth through quality inservice programs and opportunities to explore new facets in education. Norfolk Public Schools utilizes progressive educational philosophies such as distance learning, six trait writing, balanced literacy, and performance-based education. We encourage our staff to share their expertise with others locally as well as outside our district.
