| Our
Board of Education |
The
six members of the Norfolk Public Schools' Board of Education are
responsible for establishing the policies under which the school system
operates. They must act within the framework of Nebraska and federal
laws, and still be responsive to the unique needs of the community.
This vast assignment covers everything from approving curriculum and
instructional materials to adopting the annual budget.
The Board members are elected (on a staggered basis) at-large by registered
voters of the school district every two years. Members serve four-year
terms and receive no compensation. The current members of the Board
of Education are: Dr. Brad Krivohlavek, Jane McDaniel, Julee Pfeil,
Alfredo Ramirez, and Jim Scheer.
