Hello to the 7th grade students of
In Language Arts 7 we
will be learning many things, but first we must know
the classroom
responsibilities for each of us.

Class
Expectations
Being Prepared-
assignment, notebook, pen/pencil, folder
RESPECT- to hold in esteem or honor; to show regard or consideration for;
to refrain from intruding upon or interfering with; to visit in order to
welcome or greet
ROSE- Respect Others, Self
& Environment
Honesty- being truthful and sincere
Use Appropriate Language (common sense!)
Be in your seat when the
bell rings- it’s better to be prompt than tardy!
Keep hands, feet, and
mouth to yourself- raise your hand to talk!
Golden Rule- treat others
as you would want to be treated
Be Polite- use
manners! (Please, Thank you, Please be
quiet)
Be A Good Listener- follow
instructions
Grading & Homework Responsibility
All assignments are based
on a point system for this class. For example, if an assignment is worth
20 points and you receive 16 points, then you have an 80% on that assignment.
Assignments
are given on a daily basis. (Use your planner to record all assignments!)
Be
prepared for class. Make sure to have your book, pen/pencil, notebook,
folder, and assignment when you come to class.
No
name papers are 5 points off.
Group/Partner
Work- Sometimes we will work in small groups or with a partner. I expect
you to be responsible and work with everyone!
When
you are absent or miss an assignment make sure you check your class period
folder for your assignment.
Late
Papers- Late papers automatically receive a 50% the first day it is late.
Computer
Grades
Overall
grades will be posted and updated each week, so you can keep track of how you
are doing in class!
Make sure if you do not
understand something or you have trouble with anything let me know and I'll do
my best to help you.
