Adjectives
A word
that describes or limits a noun. It
provides information about the size, shape, color, texture, feeling,
sound, smell, number or condition of a noun or pronoun.
Appeal to your senses (see, feel, taste,
hear, and smell)
Answers the questions: What kind? Which one? How many?
How much?
Ex: She walked along the
narrow path, during the steamy afternoon.

Articles
Adjectives: A, An,
The
A/An are indefinite articles. They name nonspecific nouns.
Use "A" before a word beginning with a vowel sound.
Use "An" before a word with a consonant sound.
Ex: A car went speeding
by my house.
Ex: An accident occurred at an intersection.
The is a definite
article. It points out a particular noun.
Ex: The accident
occurred at the corner of my street.
