Homework policy
- Students will
be expected to read outside of class time 2 hours a week. The best way to become a proficient
(good) reader is to read. We will
be reading many different forms of writing. Parents will be asked to monitor the
student’s progress in reading outside of class.
- Assignments
will be given on a daily basis. Use
your planner to record all assignments.
Check your planner each day before you leave school to make sure
you have everything you need to complete your assignment if it is not
already completed.
- All
assignments for this class are based on a point system. Example: If a student earns 9 out of 10
points, their grade would be a 90%.
- No name
papers are 5 points off.
- Late papers
automatically receive a 50% the first day it is late. Start the school year with the good
habit of getting your assignments completed on time everyday.
- When you
are absent or miss an assignment it is your responsibility to check with
Mrs. Fuhrman for your assignment.
Assignments will also be posted on Mrs. Fuhrman’s class website. http://www.npsne.org/ms/staff/lfuhrman/index.htm If you miss class notes you should ask a
classmate if you can borrow theirs and copy the notes into your Literature
notebook.
- Sometimes we
will work in small groups or with a partner. I expect you to be responsible and work
with everyone!
