About Me

Welcome to science at Norfolk Middle School on Team One with Ms. Wisch!

. The  2006/2007 will be my 10th year teaching science, and my 4th in the Norfolk Public School system.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State College in Denver Colorado, and I am currently working on my Masters Degree through Doane State College.

My philosophy of teaching is …………….

Because part of my philosophy is communication, following is my daily schedule so you know when I am available to talk with you.  Please call during my planning period or before or after school.

Student Council

I am a sponsor for Norfolk Middle School’s Student Council.  Student Council is an extracurricular activity offered at Norfolk Middle School.  Student Council members have the opportunity to participate in activities on a regular basis.  Projects include recycling, greeting parents and guests during parent teacher conferences, gift wrapping Christmas gifts for local charities, as well as many other projects.  Many of our projects are ROAK (random acts of kindness) because the Middle School is an ROAK school.

I strongly encourage students to participate in this organization because they get to know students from other teams, they can develop a sense of belonging to the Middle School building, and become involved in meaningful activities.  To participate in student council, all students must have parental permission to participate.  Students can get permission slips from me

Parent Connect

Parent connect is a service Norfolk Public Schools offers to help parents keep abreast of their child’s academic progress.  I highly recommend getting connected to this service as your involvement in your child’s education is important and helps to ensure your child’ success here at the Middle School.

Grades in my class are up-dated as work is completed.  Often labs will take an extended time to grade as they are not multiple choice and require high-level processing skills.

Parents interested in using Parent Connect should contact Susan Smith, our school secretary.  She can be reached 7:30 – 4:00 at 644-2569.
