To Parents/Guardians:

Hi, my name is Dawn Reedy. I am the 6th grade PE and health teacher for Team 2. This will be my thirteenth year of teaching, but my seventh year here at the middle school.  Since I’ve lived in Norfolk, I’ve been teaching science, but this year I’ll be taking on the physical education and health classes for 6th grade.  I graduated from South Dakota State University (GO JACKS) with a major in Health, Physical Education and Recreation.  So, I am really excited to have the opportunity to get kids moving and active.  I am originally from Winner, South Dakota. J Every experience I've had while living in Nebraska has been wonderful, and I'm sure the school year will be just as great.

I have developed a web page for classroom use and for kids to utilize at home.  I hope you have the opportunity to check it out.  I will list weekly activities/assignments for students that are home ill and for parents to keep up to date on our active lifestyle here at school.  The web page will be most beneficial when we start the health curriculum in October.  The web page will list information about homework, quizzes, and tests.

If internet is not available to you, please feel free to call our Homework Hotline at 644-2569 after 4 PM.  You will need to listen for “6th Grade Team Two PE/Health.”  Also, feel free to contact me via email (on my web page) or at the school:  644-2569.  My available contact hours are 10:30 – 11:13.

          My web address is:

I'm looking forward to the 2007-2008 school year and I hope you have the opportunity to look over the class information sheet that I've given your child. This sheet covers the following topics: grading procedure (sportsmanship, being present, participation, and having shoes), extra credit, preparation, assignments, student expectations, classroom behaviors and tardiness.  I hope you all have a GREAT year and I look forward to meeting everyone!!!

                                                          Sincerely,

                                                          Mrs. Reedy
