Razzel-Dazzel Football
Rules

TO START THE GAME:
One team may kick or throw the ball to their opponents. The opponents
get the ball and MUST RUN toward their own touchdown goal line. THE RECEIVER CANNOT THROW THE BALL AFTER THE KICK/THROW
AT THE START OF THE GAME…HE/SHE MUST RUN.
When the runner is tagged/flagged; the ball is spotted at that spot.
THIS RULE IS ALSO USED AFTER A TEAM
HAS SCORED.
OFFENSIVE TEAM:
(the team that has the ball):
gets FOUR downs to make a touchdown.
If they fail to score a touchdown in FOUR downs, the other team gets the
ball at the spot the person was tagged OR at the spot where the quarterback
threw the ball.
NOTE:
the offense team on the fourth down may punt the ball to the other team.
Punting the ball on the fourth down would take place if the other team would be getting the ball real
close to their own touchdown goal
line. If the offense team decides to
punt the ball on the fourth down –
they MUST tell the other team before they punt the
ball – and then they must punt it --- NO TRICK PLAYS ALLOWED.
THE QUARTERBACK; The quarterback may run with the ball or may throw the ball
forward. HOWEVER, the quarterback CANNOT
run across the line of scrimmage and then throw the ball.
Once the quarterback has the ball, the
defense team can’t rush the quarterback until they have counted out loud ---to
FIVE. However, the defense team can rush
the quarterback if he/she takes one step forward…You do not have to count to 5
in this case.
THE CENTER AND QUARTERBACK MUST BE A NEW
PERSON WITH EACH DOWN.
A RECEIVER:
may run and throw the ball forward until he/she is tagged. Any person with the ball can keep going until
he/she is tagged. The ball is spotted
where the player was tagged , or if they stepped
out-of-bounds. IF the quarterback throws
an incompleted pass, the ball is spotted back where
the quarterback threw the ball.
TAGGING:
Two-handed touch OR flags will be used.
FUMBLED BALLS ARE DEAD BALLS!
NO BACKWARD PASSES ALLOWED.
All plays are forward plays.
INTERCEPTIONS:
Team intercepts ball in the air and catches it. They have to have control of the ball and may
then run toward their own goal line and try to score.
FOULS: PUSHING, HOLDING,
TRIPPING, OFF-SIDES, UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS:
FIVE YARD PENALTY AGAINST THE TEAM FOULING.
**Multiple fouls from the same player can
result in a reduction of grade for sportsmanship.
