The Blog Spot (9/8)

WOW!!!!  I almost forgot to blog this week.  I kind of have it scheduled to blog once every other week.  The days have been blending together and everything is flying by.

I hope everyone is happy learning about graphs.  We have a lot of people making some great graphs.  It’s always interesting to see who my creative people are.  We have a lot of people making colorful, patternful (yes, I just made that word up) graphs.  We also have a lot of people that are making some very good, blah graphs.  That would have been the category my graphs would have fallen under when I was in sixth grade.

It was good meeting everyone at Open House.  I know I didn’t get to say much to everyone, but it was still nice to see a face (even if I forget your name, sorry).  The first 20-25 minutes of Open House was a whirlwind of faces and people.  Remember, if you have any questions about what we are doing in here, just send me an email.  I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Everyone is working really hard to earn a good grade, and I hope to see that trend continue.  It is good to see most everyone succeeding just by working hard in the classroom and at home.

A few dates to remember this week.  This Wednesday, students are dismissed at 11:30.  Make sure everyone is studying Math that entire afternoon.  No breaks, just an afternoon of Math.  Last, but certainly not least, Friday is Quiz day.  We will have a quiz over everything we have covered so far.

Have a good rest of the week, and we’ll see you later.

WHAT I’M WATCHING:  Not much.  It seems like I’m hardly home to watch anything.  However, if I do watch anything, it seems like it is football.  Whether it’s College or Pro, that’s what I’m watching.  It was good to see Tony Romo, Marion the Barbarian, and the vaunted Cowboy D get off to a fantabulous start.  The Huskers are struggling, but the defense’s Blackshirts might be a little darker shade of grey after this weekend.  The Noles dominated against a very tough, Northeast Community College A&M Tech State University this past weekend.

WHAT I’M READING:  Anything dealing with puppies, Little Mermaid, or Sesame Street.  Read to my daughter every night and that’s what she’s into right now.  With not much free time, I haven’t had the chance to pick up a good book lately.  When I get around to picking up a good book, I’ll let you know.
