What is an autobiography?
-A story about your
life that is written or told by you!
During the school year
we will be doing a few projects with autobiographies. Using the Step Up to Writing model as a
guide, you will write an autobiography about your life until the 7th
grade. This includes anything you feel
comfortable sharing with others. You
will need to also design a poster to go along with your written work.
The second project
includes keeping a journal of your Life as a Seventh Grader! We journal periodically throughout the weeks
of school and this is your time to write about your life now. It can include activities, home life, social
life, anything you feel comfortable talking about in your dated journal. At the end of the year, you will need to
include pictures pertaining to your seventh grade year. You will need to include a written piece of
work and we will make a “scrapbook” of the Pieces of You. It will be a great memory keeper for you!
We will also be
reading autobiographies, so you understand what to do!
