Bel Air Elementary School is a K-6 facility where we
believe all children can learn and are capable of becoming
self-learners. The curriculum is designed so young people
become good communicators, effective problem solvers,
and critical thinkers. Above all, they will acquire
the skills to become productive participants in a society
constantly in change and the confidence to believe in
their ability to make a difference. Curriculum includes:
computer/technology classes, health/physical education,
challenge(gifted), language arts(listening, reading,
writing & speaking), mathematics, multicultural
education, music(vocal & instrumental), science,
social studies, special education, and visual arts.
Additional programs include drug/alcohol awareness,
guidance services, instructional television, Accelerated
Math, Reading Counts, media skills, school age child
care (SACC) both before and after school and self-esteem
programs. 12% of the 352 children enrolled at Bel Air
are minority students.
