Discussion Items
ü
Dr. Nelson reported that they are having our
architects give input into who is responsible for paying for the Senior High
transformers.
ü
Dr. Nelson reported that Tom Hall, architects,
construction managers, and himself met April 27 to discuss construction at
Grant Elementary. It is hoped to have
the bids ready by end of May with digging to begin by end of June. The fire sprinklers will be installed this
summer so the building will not be used for anything else. The privacy fence has been installed. We are still in the process of trying to sell
the house for the amount of expenses it would cost to move the house
(approximately $15,000). We cannot
legally just give the house away.
Habitat for Humanity did not want the house.
ü
Soil testing at the Middle School was done and
it looks like more fill will be needed.
We are hoping to start digging there by June.
ü
We are also hoping to get some work done at
Westside this year.
ü
Dr. Nelson and Mr. Waite held a telephone
conference call with Al Eveland, fiscal agent, and a person from the bond rating
company. It looks like we should quality
for a AA rating on the bonds. A
resolution will be brought to the May board meeting and then local agents will
be notified that we have bonds ready to sell.
