Bond Update – The board was given a brochure on the bond election.  A short video was also previewed.  The board discussed the open houses being held, the radio programs, etc.  Dr. Krivohlavek encouraged all board members to be active in the promotional phase of the bond election.  He also encouraged the administration to ask the board for help in promoting the bond election.

The most negative issue that has been brought up to anyone’s knowledge is why the ninth grade is not being moved to the Senior High School.  The board discussed the fact that we are landlocked at this site.  Dr. Nelson also stated that nationally the trend is to move back to the 10-12 high school concept.

Dr. Nelson thanked the board for attending the open houses.

Dr. Krivohlavek also thanked the newspaper and the radio stations for their support.  The Bond Election Committee was also recognized for doing an outstanding job.  The board members were encouraged to contribute to the Citizens for Education Fund.

Next Meeting – It was the general consensus to not hold a second meeting in March.  The next regular meeting will be March 14, 2005.  Dr. Krivohlavek announced that at the regular meeting in March he would like to set up a board retreat and asked the board members to bring their calendars with them to the meeting.
