Class Expectations

All students have value and worth. I want to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable. I want students to feel a part of our room where others care about them and help each other achieve their personal best.

In turn, I ask that students show respect for each other and the teaching staff to ensure an atmosphere of learning. Students are expected to follow our classroom procedures, which have been set up to make our day more effective. This consistency helps to develop a routine in which students know what is expected and what they can expect in return.

Community Circle is a time set aside each day when we share valuable lessons about the Lifelong Guidelines and Life skills needed for success in life. So much of a person’s success in life depends on their Social Skills. Most will succeed because of their ability to get along with others. If a student is having trouble with a certain skill, after a verbal warning, the student will need to either stay in at recess or after school to work on a Life Skill Lesson.
