We are now in the month of May and the end of the school year is upon us. The students and staff have worked tremendously hard this year and much has been accomplished. I want to thank all the parents and family members who have supported the school throughout this year. This group effort helps each and every child at Montessori School. It is nice to have a summer break to relax and have fun --- all students deserve this time to enjoy. However, try to set aside time each day for your child to read, write and do math facts while they are home. This time does not need to be long, but this review will certainly help students when they get back to school in August. Another way to help your child stay in touch with reading is the Norfolk Public Library summer reading program titled "Dragons, Dreams and Daring Deeds." All you have to do is go to the public library in the middle of May and register for this worthwhile reading program. I would like to thank everyone involved with the Montessori Parent Advisory Board. PAB has done a tremendous job doing whatever it takes to improve our school and to help students and staff. The continued support of Accelerated Reader is a great example of how PAB continues to help our students. I would like to recognize the PAB officers for their outstanding dedication and hard work. Kari Uhlir has done a great job as PAB President. She has been dedicated to Montessoir and her organization and creativity has been a tremendous assets to all of us. Again, I thank Kari for her leadership and dedication this year. Thanks again to all for supporting Montessori. Have a relaxing summer!
